WA dealership - 89 Enterprises - takes out prestigious national award

27/08/2008 The National B&D Accredited Dealer of the Year award for 2008 went to WA dealer - 89 Enterprises, who also picked up the State B&D Accredited Dealer of the Year 2008 award for WA. The B&D Doors awards dinner, held during the national B&D Dealer Conference, in early August, paid special tribute to the exceptional achievement and success of B&D Accredited Dealers. The most prestigious award, National B&D Accredited Dealer of the Year award for 2008 went to WA dealer - 89 Enterprises, who also picked up the State B&D Accredited Dealer of the Year 2008 award for WA. When asked why he felt 89 Enterprises deserved the award, B&D State Sales Manager - WA, John Costanzo said, “The resources boom in Western Australia has indeed offered many opportunities for those willing to grasp them. However the increased opportunities have come with there own set of challenges. The downside of the booming economy in the west has seen many business struggling with limitations imposed upon them. In the west we’ve had to face supply shortages for raw materials and/or long lead times, and we’ve had to deal with the even greater challenge of the trades and labour shortage. In fact, some of our partners have closed shop rather than fight these continuing issues”. “It is therefore extremely exciting to see the Accredited Dealer of the Year, 2008 award go to the team at 89 Enterprises. Despite having to also face these unique “boom time” challenges, 89 have risen to the call and expanded their business to capitalise on the opportunities created by the resources boom. They have invested heavily to cater for the increased demand / opportunities. In the past year, they have invested in heavy equipment for industrial installations and servicing, and they have purchased offices and workshops in the Pilbara region to capitalise on the mining & resources boom. Throughout this diversification, they have also significantly grown their existing domestic business and we are pleased to note that this growth, in both sides of their business, has been accomplished by using B&D products."
